Interpreting the Promise of Solar Energy in Today's Economy

Job creation and the expanded use of renewable energy capture the headlines every day. In a time of increased economic uncertainty, the Federal government has legislated increased support for the solar energy sector. Although photovoltaic panels have been used for decades to produce electricity, it is only recently that their potential has been more widely accepted by the general public. While the collective desire to use solar power to supplant fossil fuels continues to grow, a thorough understanding of how to effectively harness the sun is not as widespread. Outpost Solar has developed product lines that allow photovoltaic panels to be employed effectively in both urban centers and the most remote areas of the world. In presenting this symposium, Outpost Solar seeks to allow attendees to better grasp both the current reality and the future potential of solar as a key component of a secure energy future for America.
